Travel Healthglobal air travel

Being well prepared before you travel is an important step towards enjoying a happy and healthy holiday.

More than half of those who travel abroad do not seek advice about the right health protection. We provide nurse led travel advice for patients requiring immunisation and advice. As vaccination medication takes time to be effective it is important that you please contact the Practice 6-8 weeks in advance of travel and complete a travel health questionnaire which you can the practice reception or can be downloaded from Systmonline if you have online access.  One of our Practice Nurses will then contact you within 7 days of receipt of your form to arrange a convenient appointment.

The practice DOES NOT provide a service for last-minute travellers (ie less than one month before travelling), if you need urgent travel advice you may wish to contact:

The practice will provide vaccinations for patients who are travelling abroad for leisure purposes only, if you require vaccinations for work related reasons you will need to contact your own occupational health.  If you are advised that you need the following vaccinations, these are available free of charge from the Practice:

The NHS Travel Website has advice on travel health and vaccination information for every country in the world.  Please note we DO NOT provide yellow fever vaccinations.
